So much
Well it has been a very busy and very fun couple of weeks and there is so much to talk about. I just wanted to blog a bit about what has been going on as there is a bit too much to write about.
So first off, had a brilliant time in the Netherlands, spent a couple of days in The Hague. We stayed with a friend of Jenny's and visite a few museums and a fantastic resturant...the food was amazing. Then we headed off to Amsterdam (we were only there really for a day and a half) and did loads of museum visits. In particular the Anne Frank house was amazing and inside there was an exhibition entitled 'Freedom 2 choose', which was really amazing. I presented the audience with modern day dilemas (such as the freedom of the media etc), what was clever about it, was that the same argument was presented twice, one which you would agree with and one that contradicted your views. It made you realise how easy it is to be hypocritical. Great!
I have loads of pictures and binural recordings that I am going to put up on the site soon. I did a binaural recording of the Van Gogh Museum and the Rikjs Museum, as well as some others. We also saw an amazing guitar duo, performing at a free concert, totally blew me away...all in all great food, beer, company and fun!
Headed back home and then ended up heading up to the Yorkshire Dales for a few days Hiking (decided that it would be hard to find a position in the time I had between Amsterdam and Dead by Dawn, so I should make the most of it. We stayed in probably the best B and B I have ever stayed in (in a village called Austwick), from there we headed out and did a couple of great hikes, including one of the three peaks (Wernsdale). We also did the amazing Ingleton Waterfalls walk, which was spectacular (especially as it was raining!). I have loads of pictures and once I have sorted out a new online album I will post them.
So I am back home for a few days over easter (finishing up some bits and pieces of work), before I head off to Dead by Dawn. I am so excited, and really looking forward to it. Once I am back, it will be back to reality and full on into the job hunt again.
I thought I would talk a bit more about some of the books I have been reading recently, in particular The
Big Questions
I have also been reading Think
We have also just been watching The
Corporation
Keep your eyes peeled for more stuff soon
Peace
Neil
