Such a long time!!

Wow it has been ages since I have posted here (or in fact written in my own diary!) but that is MOVING for you!

Yes the past 7 weeks has been filled with the joys of packing, repacking, moving, packing and moving again....and then settling in!

Yes I now no longer live in Guildford, but in Manchester. I have to say that it is so much more fun to be here again. There is just so much to do, and so much going on it is fab. It totally makes up for the hellish experience I had getting up here in the first place. Let's just say I have learnt a very important lesson. NEVER move into a place that you have never seen or visited...even it if belongs to a friend of the family (ex friend?). It will only end in tears. Needless to say, I moved into a place which was terrible and therefore had to move out asap to a new place. Of course that didn't add too much stress to me and the fact I was supposed to be starting my PhD on the same day! Oh well life is here to test us!!

But looking at it from one point of view, if the place had been okay I would never have moved into the fab place I am in now. In the heart of Fallowfield, close to everything you could ever want and only 10 mins from the city centre.....perfect!!

So yes...I am a student....AGAIN! All is going well now I am finally enrolled and been through all the admin things! I was late starting so it was a bit of a nightmare having to queue for ages and wait for ages for things to get done. It is slightly strange being back here at Salford. Funny how tens years since I graduated from here, some things haven't changed and somethings have completely changed. I haven't immersed myself in student life yet....i guess as I am a 'mature' student these days!

The project looks fantastic and there is so much reading to do....I am having a ball at the moment! Yes I am finally getting to research into something I am totally passionate about....it is fantastic!!

On a different note, I was sent this link as something totally inspirational. I have been a fan on Imogen Heap for a while now. It is great to see someone with fantastic talent embracing and using technology in such a creative manner. Needless to say I was pretty blown away by this live performance...

Enough rambling from me!

Watch this space....as I am back!!
